Mac OS Sierra - Is RW ready?

fixed with beta - thank you

I am not a developer and don’t usually work with beta releases, so please excuse my ignorance. I am a bit confused by this thread with respect to RW 7.1, as it has been described in this thread as:

  1. a beta release
  2. a ā€œcandidateā€
  3. implied as a full-fledged release: per Dan’s response to the OP’s question, ā€œYes RapidWeaver 7.1 is Sierra ready!ā€

I’m not sure what the term candidate means. Is it a bit like a ā€œbeta plus?ā€ I think Dan’s comment about v7.1 still refers to the current beta release; is there a full-fledged update in the offing? If so, might it be better for the novices to wait for the full update to RW 7.0.x and hold off on upgrading to Sierra?

Edit: Speaking about RW issues only … clearly the upgrade to Sierra can be done/not done for other reasons

It is still beta, but the hope is it is the last one. It is a canidate for release if no additional issues are found.

Since this thread was started there have been multiple issues found and from what I can see in the forums the 7.1 is absolutely been reverted to just a beta release. Candidate 2 has not been issued that I have seen.

Yes, exactly the same here. Downloaded Osaka font but that has not helped the lack of text in the first dialogue window. Everything else seems to work fine.

same here. is that something we have to live with from now on with rw5? i can’t update some of my older projects to rw7 because the webyep plugin won’t work anymore.
