I’d like to know what the future plans are for Markdown support. Either in the editor or in a custom component.
These days I can’t build a website without Markdown support as it is a nightmare to try and create larger blocks of text with formatting.
I asked this question some time ago but never got an answer. So hopefully we can get some idea as to the future plans for supporting Markdown.

Hi @handshaper Yes, I’m already working on a markdown custom element - If you would, could you email me directly and give me a list of what markdown ‘tags’ you would want - bill at stack-its dot com And anyone else that wants to as well, so I have a to-do list
Thanks,
Bill

HTML (for me, there are a lot of times when I need to use HTML within the markdown text, for example, GB24 - Superscript)
It is also handy to ESCAPE certain characters, although I don’t use this often.
