Menu shifts when hovering over items with subfolders or navigating between pages

Hi everyone,

I’m running into a strange issue with my site’s navigation menu. When I hover over a menu item that has subfolders (dropdowns), the entire menu shifts slightly to the side. This also happens when clicking through to another page – the menu seems to “jump” a bit before settling. You can also see a vertical scrollbar appear on the right side of the page when this happens.

I’ve implemented a global header and footer by inserting them into each page, following standard practices. Nothing unusual there.

Has anyone experienced this? Any idea what might be causing the menu to shift like this?

On my iPad Air 13” the dropdown doesn’t work at all.
