Menu standard using Arabic language

Hello :waving_hand:

I hope you have a good weekend

I have been working on a project using the Arabic language. I all lay our websites fine except the Menu. I face issues with the menu standard, as I can not understand the Arabic language because;

  • its miss homepage
  • it’s not a work link :link:

I enjoy working with the Arabic language in elements, but I face issues with the menu. When I change the language, the English name of the page menu works well.

Please to look a video;

Thank you for the team elements and your hard work for us.

Have you set the language to Arabic in the Project Settings?

Hello @dan

Yes, I set the language to Arabic in the Project Settings. But it still does not work well

Can you share the project via Elements Cloud with us so we can take a look?

Thank you, :folded_hands:

I send it

We’ve taken a look at your project and it’s because we don’t/can’t generate Arabic names for folders. So right now, all the folder names are empty, meaning all the Arabic page URL’s are pointing to the root.

To fix this, just give each page a folder name using alpha numeric chars.

Let me know how you get on.

Hello @dan

Whoops, the links are empty – I missed it. I hope you will support the Arabic language soon.

Thanks for the solution. I’m using alpha English now.

I hope you will support the Arabic language soon.

I didn’t think you could/would use arabic characters in URL’s, is that really a thing?

Yes, it’s really a thing. You can use Arabic characters in URLs.

Example: https://example.com/مقالات/مقال-الأسبوع.html

I was searching for a link on our government website. All must use the folder name “ar,” followed by the English title of the page.

For example; الهيئة العامة لتنظيم الإعلام | الأنظمة واللوائح

I agree with you, Dan. In my project, I use a link like this: https://example.com/hello.ar/
