Menu?

My menu is only on home page, even though I selected global.

The page names in the menu do not link to anything.

Even though it is a global, you still have to physically place it on each page.

Regarding links - They won’t work in the Elements editor, however, they will work in preview or when published

A global just makes the component a 'single" component. It can be used multiple times but if you change any part of it it changes it everywhere i.e. globally. You still have to put it on every page.

On the home page my title box has background color.
On Current Productions background color is not available.

Post your project here. IMO your menu looks very cluttered perhaps needs a bit of condensing?

My project is too big, so I will need a little time to delete some photos, and make others smaller.
The pages shown are mostly empty, because I wanted to use some of them to practice. My main difficulty is an inability to use either grid or flex, and have both an image and text box side by side. You and others have told me to click on the ‘row’ option in the menu, but that has not worked so far. They always stack vertically.

Also - I can not get a menu to show pages. I had one briefly, but it disappeared.

If that helps? ( 5’04 )

Elements is easily the most frustrating app that I have used in 30 years.
The video about flex did not mention containers. On my home page I have a menu (duplicated, in the hope that a new, second one would function) that does not work - no links to other pages.

Can you share your project? It took me also months before I understood how Elements was working. I d/l some projects, tried different things out, and watched a lot of the youtube Elements movies. Bit by bit I found out more.

+1 what @iMac said.

There is a learning curve, no doubt, but if you reverse engineer some projects and build a few projects, you’ll be amazed at how powerful it is. I’m building sites that I never would’ve been able to do in Classic.

Lots of experts here in the forums willing to pitch in and lend a hand.

I think the best part about Elements is that even though the components do so much, there’s really only a couple of them. Once you master a component, the sky is the limit for what you can design and deploy.

OK; but you did not respond to my question about non-functioning menu

Where is the menu not functioning?? Preview or Published site??

If you upload your project to the cloud and share it here, we can see what the possible issues are.

I have never knowingly used the cloud.
How do I do that?

Click on Cloud Button, upper left. Click on upload project.

Click on link button for project you want to share. Paste here in Forums.

if posting here make sure no passwords are involved or everyone will see them!!!

Thanks!
I have uploaded to the cloud; how do you find it?
