A quick post to share my experience of moving away from Classic/Stacks and completely rebuilding a 350 page website with Elements.
My Classic site still works but was built with Source (no longer supported) and quite a few other ‘stacks’ that aren’t supported now either. It was time to move on.
It’s been a very positive experience I started by watching YouTube videos and had a lot of very basic questions which were answered on here.
The new site isn’t finished it will probably take me a few more weeks and then a lot of refining after that. Elements is fast and I love that I no longer have to keep switching between edit/preview. There is a learning curve but it’s worth it.
It’s time to say goodbye to the Classic/Stacks setup was great at the time but feels out of date now and likely heading for a well earned retirement.
