If I try adding an mp4 video as a remote resource Elements hangs.
Is this a known issue?
@Doobox I’m not aware of this one, do you have a link to an MP4 that you’ve seen the issue with?

I trued a few different mp4 videos and it hangs on them all.
I’m not being stupid am I? you are just meant to paste in that full url when you see the input field for the resource?

Yeah just paste the full url in. I’ve been able to reproduce it here, I’d have to dive into the code to be sure but I think Elements will be attempting to generate a thumbnail for it. I’ll add a ticket to fix that up!

Did this ever get looked at, and maybe regressed in the latest remote resources changes?
I Just tried adding a remote mp4 again in 1.1.2 with same result, Elements hangs.
As far as I can see, this would be the only way to use a remote mp4 in the video element?
Edit : PATIENCE is key here: It does eventually complete. Just takes about 30 seconds of beach balling.
