Multiple HTML snippets on one page. How to keep the code straight between them?

RapidWeaver Elements 1.4.0 (23889)

I have a calendar page with a global footer.

The calendar displays a google calendar via an HTML component and associated code snippet.

The global footer uses another HTML snippet to display “current date.”

Whenever I try to change one of them, they both change. I’ve converted the footer HTML from global, but they still behave the same way.

Not great with HTML, so needing some guidance here.

When you add a custom HTML you name it whatever by clicking on top of code. Have you the same HTML snippet or tow separate ones. If you have it all in one then it will affect everything it’s associated with. I have 7 max snippets on one page for my shop and each one individual and have no problems.

Hmmm…

I want to have two separate snippets, but right now it’s acting as one.

Could you give me more detail on where you give a “custom” HTML a name?

Oh, never mind Paul, I re-watched Dan’s appropriate video, and this time caught the “name the HTML” piece that I’d not appreciated the importance of before.

Thank you so much for zeroing in on my problem!

Dennis

Glad you got there, it took me ages first time as I was clicking on HTML label, right clicking and getting annoyed.then found it was top of snippet and then your away. I have loads of snippets for shop items and pages and I’m now into writing HTML snippets for solving a problem if I want to do something. There are loads of free snippets on tailwind sites that are great to use
