Steep learning curve but I love how easy it is to build sites with Elements. I know the site is a wee bit excessive in parts  but I wanted a fun site that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Interested to hear any comments. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Really cool site, one observation only the three pen pics on home page have tree different lengths below pics. Personally I like to see things like this of equal length for symmetry only. Thats just something personal. WELL DONE and good luck with band!

Thanks Paul, much appreciated. I did think about the length of those pen pics but decided I liked the asymmetry :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:. As you say, it’s a personal taste thing. And thanks for the good wishes.

Nice job. Now add a blog ;~).

The design is a little too bouncy/animated for me, but I also appreciate that it isn’t completely static, too. I think a little more tuning of the effects would keep the nature you’re trying to accomplish without bouncing the eyes all the time.

Thanks Thom. I don’t have time to keep a blog going  , I’m currently trying to rebuild my sculpture site in elements - so many images to process :face_with_spiral_eyes:, but you’re right, it does need a blog. And yes, I do need to fine tune the effects. Thanks for taking the time to check it out and for your thoughts, much appreciated.

Yes, after a few minutes looking around your site the transitions were starting to get to me - I am sure it would work just as well if they were all static. Having said that, the layout and particularly the colours you have used look cool to me.

Was hoping that somewhere on the site I could listen to the band and did get to the music and video page. I would have found it interesting to read the website while listening to the band. No idea if it is possible to perhaps have a visible player so I can play/pause Triosh3 while on the website?

Thanks for your thoughts JB, and the compliments, all much appreciated.

Your point about listening whilst reading is a good one, hadn’t thought of that. Not sure it’s possible to have a player that is constantly there whichever page your on. Personally, I’d just have the Bandcamp link, or the music page open in another tab.

checked it out on ipad.. very nicely done!

Nice,

the only thing I would suggest is to limit the iFrame maximum size on the larger screen sizes. the videos loose their resolution and become grainy when expanded.

Thanks Robert, really appreciate your comments.

Yes, the old videos are grainy, digital cameras weren’t as good 15 years ago . All the newer ones were done on an iPhone14. How do I limit the iFrame size? No idea where I’d find that. Also the videos are coming from YouTube, not stored on my server, so I don’t know whether that makes a difference.

Anyway, many thanks for taking the time to check it out. Much appreciated.
