[NEW COMPONENT] PhotoSpread: A Gallery That Unfolds

Dear Elements Weavers,

I’m excited to introduce PhotoSpread – a new component that turns a handful of images into an interactive fold gallery in Rapidweaver Elements.

The idea is simple: add three to six images, and PhotoSpread arranges them as narrow panels side by side. Hover on desktop or tap on mobile, and the chosen panel expands to fill the space while the rest tuck neatly aside – no lightbox plugin, no slider script, no extra JavaScript to wire up. Every panel can hold more than just a photo: drop a Container, Text, Button, or any other Elements component into it, and it unfolds together with the image the moment that panel is active.

Everything is built to fit your design rather than fight it: borders, colors and the overlay behind your text come straight from your theme, in light and dark mode. Choose Horizontal or Vertical folding, and switch between them per breakpoint so panels sit side by side on a wide screen and stack on a phone. Fine-tune the fold itself – duration, easing, even a fully customizable timing curve – and set a second border color that lights up only on the panel that’s currently open.

PhotoSpread has been in the works for quite a while now – another building block for my own shift from WordPress to Elements CMS on 500places.com, this time for showing photo galleries alongside the places I write about.

PhotoSpread: A Gallery That Unfolds.

Happy weaving!

Nice …

…yes, temptation again, Marcus..nicely done :+1:

LOVE the cunning pricing , straight from marketing bible !

Hoping for an ‘introductory discount’ though..:thought_balloon:

Markus this is a great piece of work. I always give things to my wife to check as she is very precise in making me do things again!  Her comment was she looked at the picture said yes that looks Ok and handed iPad back to me, I said what about the rest, She looked a bit blank. I said click on one of the other images, colours, she did and her first words were “wow thats cool but how the hell would I know the others were there to be clicked - especially with just colours”. So my web design master has spoken - what makes someone who hates computers know they are supposed to click on other pictures?

Hey Utz, there is currently a 20% introduction discount on it :slightly_smiling_face:

Thats a very good finding Paul! My own web design master didn’t mention that one :slightly_smiling_face:.
Maybe I can add the possibility for an Icon directly somewhere at the frame? Any idea is welcome.

Instant buy. Thanks for a nice component.

Suggestion little dots per page underneath like in photo gallery? Just a thought. Your webmaster must have went to same school as my wife - god help them!:rofl::rofl:

Thank you so much Hans @iMac . I’m always happy when people keep buying my stuff - and I don’t just mean that in a commercial sense.

I just had some time today and I found a pretty easy way. It just pretty much your direction but is made with a chevron. The update already uploaded. So you and your web master can have a look.

Looks better but don’t see anything on “down” type of collection (Bottles). Please do not call my wife a “webmaster” her limit on this, especially at this time of year, is killing spiders homes!:rofl::rofl: Keep up your amazing work!
