[NEW] FlurryPixels - the first WeaverPixel Component [Updated Build 2]

Dear Elements Weavers,

for quite a while now I’ve been working on developing components for Elements alongside my templates. It all started quite innocently with a simple snowfall component – but the further I got, the more ideas kept coming. Now, after several weeks of work, it’s finally done, and I’m excited to introduce FlurryPixels – a playful new particle animation component that brings movement and charm to any Elements website.

Pick one of six motion effects – from gently falling snow to a full blizzard, bouncing fireflies or a parallax depth effect – and choose what your particles look like: glowing dots, rotating snowflakes or any character and emoji you can type. :fallen_leaf: for autumn, :cherry_blossom: for spring, for Valentine’s Day. With the built-in seasonal scheduler, each effect appears only in its date range – set it up once and your website decorates itself, year after year.

Highlights include full-page or per-container animation with multiple instances per page, optional mouse interaction (repel, attract or stir), theme-aware colors with full light and dark mode support, a mobile-friendly mode and built-in accessibility that respects “Reduce Motion”. Everything is configured visually in the inspector – no code required. An example project file with all demo effects is included, so you can start right away.
Bring your websites to life – with FlurryPixels.

Happy weaving – and let it snow! :snowflake:

Nice job. I can see this being fun at certain times of the year! Elements has made these components so powerful and straightforward for the user. The common UI is the big win here.

I forgot to mention, that the current price of 9.95$ is an introduction price which is valid only for a week. It will increase to 14.95$ afterwords.

So don’t wait too long :slightly_smiling_face:

A cheerful component :rainbow: :artist_palette: , we were missing it, well done,

I had a lot of fun developing it. It‘s my first component ever and I learned alot :+1:

Very nice :+1: will purchase - very good job!

just goofing around - floating trumpets  hahahaha

Saw in options seasonal - can you explain more how this works? how to set it up?

I understand now… would need 4 FlurryPixels for each season setting a start and end date

Hi @MichaelDroste
thanks for purchasing FlurryPixels — hope you enjoy the flying trumpets :slightly_smiling_face:

The Component documentation here explains Seasonal Mode:

It says:

Seasonal Mode: Set a start and end date and the effect only appears in that range – snow in December, hearts in February, leaves in October. Ranges may span New Year (e.g. 1 December – 6 January). Set it up once and your website decorates itself, year after year.

For a Christmas animation, add one FlurryPixels component and set its range from, say, 1 December to 10 January. For each additional celebration day (Valentine’s Day, Black Friday, Easter, etc.), add another FlurryPixels component with the corresponding date range. Each one then repeats automatically every year.

Going to load some major holidays and seasons small 15-30 sprites 3 days prior - only on home page…

Made a holiday cheat sheet - dates and emoji use sparingly- just on one page subtle surprise

Missing

:money_with_wings: Tax Day - April 15

:turkey: Thanksgiving - November 25

November 22 to November 28 - kind of a big swing

I’m looking to set this once - then forget it… forever  lol :joy:

If you want I can give you my birthday  - address for a birthday present included

Two Items:

(1) It needs to have a ‘timer’ or ‘cycle’ For example want the effect to occur for 10 seconds then fade away… Or drop leaves through 3 cycles…. Too annoying to have it continue endlessly…

(2) ability to go larger emoji - on a 32" monitor - they are still small

Hahahahah present is in the mail - be sure to look for it  lol :joy:

Hi Michael @MichaelDroste

Good ideas, I will put this on the Wishlist, will wait if some other ideas come over the next days and then see if/how I can implement it.

Only want to mention that the introduction price of $9.95 will increase on Sunday to $14.95. If you are planning to buy it, today will be the right time :slightly_smiling_face:

Any fade option / timer update ?

Hi @MichaelDroste

it is not forgotten. I have just finished a new template and will have to do another small adaptation for another template. Then FlurryPixel will get its Update. Maybe end of next week :slightly_smiling_face:
