A few days ago I downloaded the Elements trial version.
After spending some time with it, the software seems to suit me, but I’d like to ask a few questions because, given its price of €149 for the Plus version, ouch, I can’t afford to make a mistake. It’s quite expensive for me. Do you know if there are any times when the software is on sale?
I’ve read here and there that there are paid modules, but I can’t find a list of the options and their prices. Another question: is the blogging feature included in the basic version, or is it an additional cost?
Thank you for your future answers, and I might have a few more questions myself…
Historically we run different promotions throughout the year. Usually the biggest one is the Black Friday sale, but that’s a long way off. Perhaps we’ll have something less grand before then. The best way to stay up-to-date on when we are running a promotion is to sign up for our newsletter so you can get notified via email anytime we have a promotion going.
The Blog/CMS is available in all versions. You can check out the difference between the license types on our help docs page here License | RapidWeaver Elements Docs
Let us know if you have additional questions, and thanks for giving Elements a spin!
I do not know your circumstances nor what you are doing website/s for but just want to say what I have found with Elements, also I am not affiliated and been naughty recently an get told off! What you have to remember is Elements is a subscription based programme so if you wait for sale it will be the normal price next year.
Perceived value is a personal thing but personally I have found after the initial learning curve that this programme is saving me time compared to my old RW set up, its more flexible and I am NOT a coder, just a copier and paster, yet its totally customisable with HTML components to get the exact feel you want.
It’s still in development stages and new things occur very frequently which are included in price. There are other add ons you can buy but you don’t have to if you dont want. There are also great developers doing amazing things.
The major advantage for me a s a senile Gen-Ancient person is that you can back up automatically to your host and/or even Elements cloud something I forget with RW of old. I even have to wear socks with days of week on!
The thing I most love here is that if you have a problem the support of the community and/or The Realmac team is amazing, you’ll get free sample projects, video explainers etc. to help with your journey.
My advice is learn the programme with the free trial you have and try to bite the bullet if you can and go for the correct level of package for you, or start off with lowest package (£99) and then upgrade later if you need to.
I pay for the Pro subscription and it’s worth every penny!! Welcome to Elements, this is an awesome community to be a part of. Help is always available on the forum when you need it.
There’s also documentation and a great YouTube channel that will help you learn the ropes.
