Newbie - struggling to edit a mobile menu - Lumi

Hello community, I’m very new here and working on setting up a site using the lumi template but I am struggling on two areas. 1 - how to edit the mobile menu that appears when you are in that ratio and 2 - on a teams page there there are links to pop up, overlay pages and I dont know where the content is to be able to edit those.

I am sure its very simple, but I am new, and trying as much as possible to be self sufficent with my new build but if anyone could offer any help to thee it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @spooner

Lumi is a paid third-party theme from @MultiThemes so not everybody here on the forum would have it.

Best to contact Michelangelo so he can help you with it. I pinged him above so he should reach out to you shortly. :slightly_smiling_face:

hi @Martyn and thank you for using Lumi.
Lumi was created with the standard elements available in Elements. If you understand how the standard Elements work, you’ll have no problem editing the project.

1: Standard menu with desktop and mobile versions (which you see by activating the preview)

2: Standard modal window (guide) with trigger and content (which you see by activating the preview)

If you need further help, let me know.

Lumi is a slang word in spanish… not terrible but it’s… there.

I didn’t know that  anyway it is based on a Latin word lūminis meaning light

Thankyou so much, I knew as soon as I asked it was going to be a simple toggle switch somewhere that i was just struggling to see. So apologies for having to reach out. :folded_hands:

Thankyou Daniel :folded_hands:

Martyn It’s a pleasure to help and thanks again for supporting my work. If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Dan thanks for reporting

A small clarification for users, many of the products for Elements are actually evolutions of existing products for RW Classic. In this case, the LUMI layouts exist in both RW Classic as a theme and Elements. as a project

I do have one more small question, which i am sure is obvious but, how do I stop the

text box - text max 4 lines

how do I stop that from hiding to be able to edit the text, I feel like such a fool

Martyn

In this case, select the box and then choose the Edit Text option.

It’s better to navigate your project by searching for elements by name rather than clicking on the preview. As you become more familiar with Elements, you’ll see that the project tree is the best way to precisely see and control your work. In my projects all the elements have logical names, you can also search for things by name and you will find all the information in the names themselves.

The preview does not allow you to edit complex layouts or any other layouts where there are overlapping elements or animations similar to the one mentioned. The latest RMS implementation for editing text from the menu has solved many problems ( great job), and it is now possible to edit everything from the tree and not from the preview.

if you need anything else let me know

Hey Michelangelo, thankyou for your continued support, I am struggling with one more thing and its really bugging me. I have set the background of the site to a dark charcoal colour, in both the light and the dark versions, as I only ever want to display in dark, but I get the white background at the bottom of the page online.

I can see where this is shown on the page settings, but I don’t seem to be able to edit it at all, I am sorry for having to ask again.

Martyn

Hi Martin :waving_hand:

You’re talking about the general background color, right? InLumi, the page is inside a standard container.

Also, check if you have other elements within the page with a background in your project.

If you can’t figure it out, you can send me a single page of your project by PM, use the Elements cloud, or send me an email.

I have follow this Michelangelo, and the setting are correct for the background but I still experience this what band at the bottom of the page - https://folc.studio/

Let me know if you can see what I mean

thanks,

In ‘content layout’ for the Container that holds the background, try setting the height to “Screen” and see if that fixes the issue.

Thanks for the link, this happens if the page content doesn’t extend to the full height of the screen.
This setting (valid for any project, not just for Lumi) will extend the background.

@sbchasin

Steve thanks, your suggestion is correct, but in my tests, my layout works better; I think both work
