No blue dot for text size?

No blue dot for text size (in Text Style)

But there is in Text / General … however it doesn’t seem to do anything

So why 2 text size settings .. and what’s the blue dot fix here ?

I am not really sure what the Text Style box does so don’t use it. But Text / General works fine.

In mobile view click on the text box and select your text size. Go up a screen size and text will stay same size. Click on the blue dot, change the size and then that size will be on that screen and the next bigger screen.

One issue is that to see the changes your screen needs to stay at 100% in bottom right corner. For bigger screen sizes this sometimes get shrunk (78% on my mac) so you don’t actually see the real thing.

Thanks so much JB - I’m not seeing what you’re seeing with regard text. I’ll fiddle some more : )

Seems odd that there should be two different text size boxes - seems using the first stops the second (the more useful one with the blue dot) from functioning … will try to confirm this.

Thanks also for your other tips - it’s quite a long road Elements but there is enormous potential. Wish it was a year down the road when we’ll just be dragging in amazing templates and components and pressing publish : )

One is the general settings for the text component itself. Settings for all text in that component. The other settings are for in-line settings. If you want to change the setting for just a word or few words.

Text Component Settings:

Inline Text Settings:

For changing at different breakpoints, you need to use the component settings and not the inline style settings

For the previous paragraph, if it were in a text component, you would use the text component settings to set how you wanted the whole thing to look, then highlight the words you wanted to make italic, and use the text style settings to do that

OK - So there second (specific settings) should over-ride the first (general settings) ?

I’m not convinced it does though

Yes, correct.
