Old codger in his elements

Testament to elements qualities of speed and ease, here’s me in my mid-eighties creating a new website to replace my previous Classic one – thinking for next year and it’s already done. A short learning curve and a couple of hints from the Forum (thanks folk) and I was away. It’s quite simple but does what I need for now, though I might make a few tweaks later. If you’re interested the URL is:

And I’d welcome any criticisms or advice – I know I should improve my SEO info.

It does still feel that elements is still in beta, and thus a tad expensive for single use, but it does do “what it says on the tin”.

Amazing !!

Good work Colin

“Old codger in his elements”
Looks great, it does everything you need it to do AND I love that it is simple to navigate with everything being easy to find. I get fed up of trying to navigate ‘noisy’ sites. Got a bit too distracted reading a sample chapter (great idea) and I have things to do - must crack on! Anyway, well done you!

Great job, just a couple of minor issues

on the iPhone the menu cannot be scrolled when open to max see link to sort https://forums.realmacsoftware.com/t/mobil-menu-scrolling/48241/4?u=upssjw

On desktop the menu is to wide and ends up links being hidden on certain screen width, see video

Thanks for the videos, Steve - I’ll address those issues. And make a more comprehensive check next time - when my old brain is functioning properly.

Thanks Jol.

Thanks – i agree some websites just try to cram too many links on their pages. Especially bad for phone use.

Very good :+1: Nice work…

Thanks Michael - especially for ticker code example.
