Order of tabs/settings

Hi.

I could not find any information so I created new topic.

It would be great to have the possibility of moving the order of tabs in the setting panel to the right and overall in Elements panels. Let me give you an example:

If I create a Container and want to give it a HTML tag of say Section, I have to scroll all the way down to the Advanced section. It would be great to have the possibility of changing the order of setting tabs in different panels in Elements.

No, you can’t reorder the tabs but that’s an interesting idea.

What you might find useful is to switch it to Single Mode, it’s the way I work:

Thank you Dan for a super fast reply. The single mode will work :slightly_smiling_face:

Awesome, I love the single mode, never use anything now!

@dan Since we are talking about the Settings Inspector I have a question, which might also be a feature request.

Currently, it appears that Elements “remembers” what setting you last edited for each component, which has its place. But I have found there are situations where I’m looking at settings for a bunch of different components. I want to be able to, for example, expand the background color setting, then I want it to stay open and active as I click on other components. Typically, I would be doing this because I want to compare the settings for several different components.

The way it works now each time I click on a different component it will switch away to the settings that were last edited for that component. This makes for a lot of additional clicking back and forth.

Could we possibly have a setting that can be toggled to not save the last edited setting, or the other way around one that tells Elements to leave the selected setting active regardless of the selected component?

Now that I have a few live sites I have noticed this even more as I’m working through the sites to ensure they are consistent, so I find myself doing this a lot and it is painful.

Let me know if I should move this to its own thread.
