Overriding Theme background color

I want to change the default bg color for the entire page. I’ve gone into Theme Studio and made the change and it looks correct in edit mode, but when I preview it in a browser the new bg color isn’t reflected.

I’m thinking there’s some dark mode confusion going on here…

Your editor might be in “Light” mode, but your system is in Dark Mode. So when you preview you see the dark mode.

Can you share your project?

I have Dark Mode disabled on the project.

Ah, I think this must be an old project (or you’ve been fiddling with the template code)…

When we added the background colour feature to Elements, the Template code required some new tags. Your template is missing those tags.

You just need this on the body (or hit revert to get the latest Template Code in the Elements).
<body class="{{page.bodyClasses}}" {{page.bodyAttributes}}>

See my video on how to do this…

P.S. Your project looks great, very nice homepage :blush:

I don’t remember messing with the Template code so I just hit revert and that fixed it.

Thank you for the kind words about the project, it’s actually a template I just started working on that I want to make avaible in the Elements Marketplace :slight_smile:

Great news, I’m look forward to seeing what you build :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
