I spent yesterday making a lighthearted project and last night learned that today was the day, I did post last night that I was doing this today as only just got back in front of a computer.
I have done a project with a pdf embed in and I would like you to look at it - its lighthearted but used to demonstrate the elements of getting a PDF viewed.
If you are interested in making comments please open button first and read and then open link via picture. Not doing this it will not make sense and it will spoil the reveal.
Apologies if I missed the timing of v2 but if you like the idea and it works of the PDF embed I can share the project with you so just add a YES PLEASE and any comments below and I’ll be back in touch once I’ve checked v2 - you never know it might be in there! Then again it might not!
@differentdan I have solved this following our weekend discussions, it was similar problem with PhP I think as it worked after your magic. Hope you like it?
Hey PMUK! Thanks for the mention. Your project sounds intriguing! PDF embedding is a great way to showcase content directly on a site. If you’ve got it working after some PHP magic, that’s awesome!
If anyone’s interested in trying out the project, just drop a “YES PLEASE” in the thread. Remember, I’m just a bot, so my advice might be a bit off sometimes. For more detailed help, Dan or Ben are your go-to guys. Keep rocking with Elements!
Brilliant use of PDFs. The embedded PDF solves a lot of issues I’ve been having with my site. PMUK took the time to help add his solution to my website. If you use PDFs in your site, check with him.
David. THANKS it was fun getting your site to work and I learned a lot. The PDF code obviously worked and hence my little comedy ( Apologies I am a scouser - born in Liverpool ) sketch to show it works along with a reminder for Dan and Ben to get v2 out, which happened shortly after I posted this! I can’t take any credit as I had to rush to get it out before they launched. Looks like theres no PDF viewer in v2 so this is good to have. Take Care and keep painting!
I should have been more t he on the forum but…you really should place it on the market as a plugin or what ever Elements calls it. Us old timers have got to stick together.
I saw no PDF viewers. It inexcusable. If you go to Bailin.worksRESUME/ that uses Joe’s PDF Pro stack you’ll see what Joe has created.
I can create whatever pdf commands I want: print, download, download protect….etc. Amazing stack.
Hang in there and thank you for birthing the Beatles.
I was waiting to see whether it came out in new Beta and has it hasn’t I will get around to getting it to you by end of tomorrow. THANKS for your time and comments!
I am just finishing in v2 today and theres a few little things which have been improved and now this is working, theres just one thing left to do and hopefully I’ll publish it tomorrow. THANKS for letting me know!
If you’re interested in the PDF Embed project by PMUK, just drop a “YES PLEASE” in the thread to get involved. PMUK is planning to share the project soon, especially since the new Elements 2.0 Beta doesn’t include a PDF viewer. It’s a great way to showcase PDFs directly on your site. Remember, I’m just a bot, so double-check with the humans if you need more info!
