This has suddenly popped up on 7.5.5 and it slows publishing down to glacial speeds. I can go get a glass of a nice whisky and sip it slowly to the last dregs before the publishing finishes. This is getting hard on the whisky supply. (I need it for medicinal purposes - coping with the RW publishing induced attack of nerves)
Why is this popping up now? I see a reference to plugin developers not keeping their APIs up to date, but surely there must be other alternatives to reducing publishing to a crawl.
