Photo Gallery

What is the max photos for the gallery? Do they have to be in the resource folder, or can them be on a remote site? Thanks in advance

We don’t have a maximum number (yet)… how many are you planning on adding?

Remote resources won’t work in the Gallery Component as Elements needs to generate the thumbnails for the grid view and there’s no way to do that if the originals are remote (hope that makes sense).

One album has 400 photos. I was using JAlbum web embed, which uses iframe. I could get it responsive width, but could not get response height. So looking for alternatives.

Am I missing something. I drop a directory of photos in the well and it creates the thumbnails. When I publish and click on the thumbnail, it opens the lightbox with that photo, but the left and right arrows as well the the X for close do not work when I mouse click on them. I should be able to move thru the photos right? I should be able to close the lightbox with the X in the top right, correct? The Left and right arrows on the keyboard, and Esc key causes the lightbox, but I got that by guesswork.

Also is it possible to show filename or any meta data, so they can view the photos and let me know which one they want to use.

Do you have a live URL we could take a look at?

Yes, you can see it here. N1ET's Cards backgrounds

There’s definitely something going on here! Any chance you could share your project with me via Elements Cloud?

I uploaded the project. How do I send a link to just you, as there are passwords in it.

@bobsimoneau

via pn at ben or dan

How to PM within this site?

Click on his name and Message them

Clicked on his name, now how do I message him?

Ah, if I click on someones name I get the message option top right, apart from @ben

I do if I click on your name but not on Ben’s.

I read somewhere that Dan said they had turned OFF messaging to the devs.

Send it to forumsupport@realmacsoftware.com and we’ll take a look!

Done, thanks

Got the link, thanks. We’ll take a look today!

Save yourself time and don’t bother. Going to project settings and pressing “Revert to default” button not only fixed my “Parse error”, but also fix this on MAMP Pro. It also works fine on IONOS.
