Since everybody is talking about PHP today, I thought I’d post a friendly reminder that PHP 8.2 will reach end of life on December 31st, 2026. After that date, it will no longer receive security patches.
As such, on January 1st, 2027 we will be removing PHP 8.2 from all hosting packages and you will no longer be able to select the 8.2 branch from your Elements Hosting Reactor Panel.
Naturally all websites built with our products work on the newer versions of PHP, however if you are using any third-party addons that rely on PHP 8.2, you’ll want to make sure you update those to their latest versions if they offer higher PHP version compatibility, otherwise those addons might stop working after January 1st, 2027 on our hosting platform.
For any third-party developers who are developing anything PHP related for the Realmac Software ecosystem, please make sure those products work on PHP 8.3 and above.
Any questions feel free to reach out to us and we’d be happy to help. ![]()
