Placeholders for caption and credit next to all photos in templates?

I use photos both as general illustrations, but also have a need for caption and credit sometimes. Should placeholders for those two elements be present next to all photos as standard to be removed when they are not needed? Or vice versa? Thoughts?

Not sure,

Good question. If that’s a feature request then yes, I’d love to see an option in the image component to add and format those below images without needing to add a separate component below the image.

One a more general note, I don’t see the need to add captions to all photos. Depends on the use case really.

I don’t understand why there would need to be another component to handle something like this, when it is super easy to create your own and turn it into a GLOBAL that can be used anywhere.

Like this.

And is made up of the following components.

I use this anywhere I need a picture frame with a caption, as it allows me to style it for the different websites where it is used. I also have a version without the caption for the cases where no caption is needed.

For cases where you don’t want to see the actual frame the background color can be turned off.

Forgot to mention the root component for this is a Container, although you probably accomplish the same thing with a Flex.

I agree. All images does not need captions and credits, but from a legal perspective, we as web developers should be encouraged to credit photographers as a default. But I agree, I could create my own global to handle this, and even create separate templates with or without these elements.
