PLUS vs PRO

Hello everyone.

I’ve searched the documentation but haven’t found anything about the Elements PRO version.

I read that compared to the PLUS version, the PRO version offers priority support, developer tools, and the ability to resell websites.

Having been unable to find specific documentation, I’m wondering if it exists?

If not, how exactly does it work to sell Elements websites? Can Elements packages be delivered as project files and/or as turnkey websites? Are there, for example, any specific tools included ?

By resale, do we mean via the Elements website? Or as an independent creator?

How are Elementst’s paid options provided (I’m thinking for example of the PRO gallery)?

Thank you for your help.

I believe - it is meant as a independent creator as you call it…

I did one client site ElmTaxService.com
So I needed the pro license to do this site

If your delivering and elements site to another person the components are not delivered and they would need to purchase the specialized software you used/ purchased

That’s how i understand it…

I’m sure Ben will explain better

Best wishes
Mike

Here’s the pricing list/tiers from the Realmac website.

I’m not clear on what the resell websites criteria is; I think it’s an honor system. If you’re on the fence, consider the value that Elements brings to your workflow and if that’s worth a few extra dollars per month.

I’m on Pro and I will say the priority support is real. I had a very obscure edge case last week on one of my sites and differentDan ran it all the way to the ground and was very fast on testing and feedback. The forums have a lot of helpful people who will pitch in, but that level of attention my specific problem was far and away more than I expected.

For the finished projects, I would think you could just hand off the Elements project file if the client was going to take over management and just needed you to build out the framework and tweak the settings.

@dan ?

Hi @sweetmemories

If you are using Elements to build websites for other people who are paying you financial compensation to do so, then you are reselling websites and would need a Pro license.

Basically if you are a web designer or developer who takes on clients and builds websites for them and they pay you to build those websites for them, then you’d need a Pro license.

If you are not doing the above, then the Plus license is fine.

Thank you for these details Dan, I couldn’t find anything on the site regarding this “license agreement”. Maybe it exists?

Otherwise it would be interesting to put this kind of details concerning the different licenses.

If you are looking for something like an EULA, the closest you’ll find is here Terms of Service | RapidWeaver Elements Docs

But this doc goes over the licenses in details as well License | RapidWeaver Elements Docs

Thank you, that’s exactly what I was looking for.
