I have read many other posts about this subject but am at a loss as to the problem. I have created a whole website in Elements and love the program so far but have a major issue with the Form I created for the Contact page. The problem is no matter what I try I cannot make this form get filled out and sent to the email I have set it up to go to no matter what I do. I know that the problem may reside in one of three areas and so I am trying to figure out which of these three is the problem. So either it is something I did in the creation of the Form in Elements, the connection to the hosting company GoDaddy is an issue, or it is something in the publishing of the files. The website is www.tocoprinting.com and the test form is at TEST I can put the elements file on the cloud as well. So please someone help me with this so I can solve the problem!
whats your encryption set on …other day someone had problem changed fro TLS to SSL 465 and it worked
Here are the files for the website:
elementsapp://downloadDocument/Am8mq0J9ThWq
It is currently set for SSL 465 port and is not working. Thanks for the suggestion and have tried that.
Hi @SeanFreeman
Try changing to port 587 and select TLS instead of SSL.
Also your Host doesn’t look right:
I looked online and I found several options for GoDaddy’s SMTP Host, such as:
smtpout.secureserver.net
However you will need to locate the correct SMTP server in your GoDaddy control panel to make sure you are using the correct one for your hosting plan.
Finally, and this is important, your Elements project file contains your email password in plain text, meaning you’ve just posted your email address and password on the public forum here.
I would strongly recommend you update/change your email password immediately, otherwise anybody who downloads your project file here will have the credentials to log into your email account.
Let us know if you still have sending issues after changing the above things.
your not the host surely???
thats whoever hosts your site
Thank you for the ideas and trying that. Forgot about the password so have changed it now.
Yes made those changes and now when hitting the submit button nothing happens at all. No error and no success. Just nothing on submit. Very frustrating.
That SMTP host I posted was just an example one I found online, I’m not sure it’s the correct one for your GoDaddy hosting account.
Log into your control panel at GoDaddy and try to locate your SMTP outgoing server details, and make sure you are using those.
ive just sent email and it says success
Yes I did the same thing yet the emails are not making it to the actual email address. So I am working through that part now.
Ok I have the form working but working on the email getting to the right account currently.
