What is the best practice for using a purchased project? I can see that just replacing text and images could really make things impossible to easily manage.
Any suggestions or methods would be helpful.

I don’t see it the same way. Probably because I live with my Resources and Inspector tabs open, which solves the “managing” images problem pretty directly.
Text is basically just replacement-in-place. That said, I sometimes will simply use Markdown Components instead of Text Components now (e.g. replace the Project’s Text Component with a Markdown one), which gives me plenty of ways to better manage the content of large blocks of text, though I’m still waiting for some form of round-trip option out-of-and-back-into Elements. Right now that’s a manual process, but a manageable one if you’re organized.
