Publishing does not work at all

Dear Element users

Since the ”publishing” does not appear at all on the server after ”publishing” I wonder how to publishing the site manually. I failed on one.com and I the moved my domain to inleed.se ( a Swedish company) and it failed there too although the element publishing function said that the everything is ok and ”uploaded” everything..but the content and the site is not there. Strange! I remember that function worked impeccable and flawless when I was on Rapidweaver some years ago…again.. the publishing simple does not work although the software said the opposite. So..how to upload my site manually..thankful for help regarding this matter..

Ok. I had problems uploading my RW sites when I started 20 years ago so ended up using an FTP app. Transmit was one I used originally, and then Filezilla but in the end it does not matter. An FTP app allows you to look at the structure of all the files on your host and allows you every easily to upload your site. And delete it before a new publish which might occasionally be necessary.

Since moving to Elements I have not even bothered to try the internal publishing, I like to be able to see what is happening. My process is simple. Click on ‘Mark all pages and Resources as Changed’ and then click on ‘Export Site’. Select where you want to export your site to on your computer. Open your FTP app and copy all the files from where you exported the site to where the files should live on your host server. Done.

Whether you publish from Elements or an FTP app you need to know from your host where the files should be published. Sounds like that could be the issue, not Elements?

I can echo the same workflow. I’m using Transmit, no issues.
