Publishing not able to update

Hello all,

I’ve published my website on dec 23, all was ok that time… then,
with the new version of RW8…
I don’t know why its just not working properly on the updating the old one…

the index.html still the same date.

on the publish set up, all settings still the same with the username, path, etc…

tried to re-publish all files just not working in the reality…
showing no error or any sort…

read the other discussion to delete the old files… now my web is only showing index of…

my web is greenclubcorporation.com

please help… and thanks in advance…

Strange. Try to make a small change to the main home page and try to republish again.

That is a tuff one,
Without seeing publishing settings, it’s hard to say.
Might ask your host if they could restore the old site (backup) until you get things sorted. If you aren’t getting any errors and it seems to publish OK, I would double check the path.

You didn’t say hosting company, but chances are they have some sort of file manager, and you could see if you can figure out if you are publishing to the wrong directory.

really appreciate the response

well, I uploaded manually to the file manager as the host recommends but the index.html is not exporting soo its not working either…

I’ve double checked the path… as it just copy and paste… then re-publish again…

the directory is fine said the host, the problematic the host say is “its the developer problem…” I’m soo speechless…

how to create the index.html then put on the folder?

thanks in advance

yes… already did… the result still same…

Might want to elaborate here. How did you manually upload the file? Did you export from Rapidweaver to a local folder? The index.html (or index.php if PHP was needed) should have been exported to the folder.

Who is the hosting company? sometimes someone here might have experience with them or we can check out their help area.

What path did they say to use?
You could also try clearing out everything in the path in RapidWeaver, and hit the browse button (next to the path). You should see a list that would look something like a finder window. If you see the directory(path) that they said you need to use try selecting it. Sometimes an extra / can be in what they tell you to type in the path and rapidWeaver doesn’t like it. That’s why Browse and select works better.

thanks for the clear explanation, sir. its more logic using the browse button.

already tried but unfortunately it’s still not working… so I brought it back to the host about the issue… with all the print screens, etc…

finally he admits that actually there’s a server problem.

so I was asked to sit tight…

the host name is mochahost.com

thanks again… I will keep you posted.
