Hello, is there a way to purge any assets that aren’t being used in any of the web pages of the active project? Sort of a “clean up” process to keep the project slim?
Good idea … or at least flag them !!
Yes mentioned this a long time ago
I would take it a small step further…
Have an advanced users setting:
Make it a checkable box option…
Then it would delete it off the server too…
If you delete it out of the project - it gets deleted off the server…
Possibly an option for do not publish unused assets on the server.
Not a fan of deleting stuff… not worth the risk.
Having to log into the server to delete old stuff is a pain - I mean it’s 2025 and we should be able to delete things
lol ![]()
Make it an advanced user feature requiring check box and a warning…
No problem with auto delete as long as it not set automatically, I do not like auto delete, let others turn it on
Right here in the context menu “Purge unused assets” would be perfect.
I don’t personally care about the server. If I want a full cleanup, I’d just delete the entire site from the server, then re-publish all files from the project.
PS: That context menu, shouldn’t really be a hidden context menu, it should be part of the UI above the Resources label.
Even just a tiny icon that opens a SwiftUI Menu, which looks exactly the same as the existing context menu.
Dare I say two check boxes under advanced settings:
-
delete unused assets from this website
-
delete unused assets from server
With appropriate pop up warning boxes that can be hidden permanently
