Rapidweaver and stacks general advice please

Hi All

I have already posted this question by way of a reply to another topic, but to put it out to a possibly wider audience,

Q1 Is is it worth moving from stacks 4 to stacks 5, and is there any issue with working on older Mac OS (Catalina)

Q2 Does anyone have any advice on an image gallery/slide show stack. I am currently using Shutter but have been advised to avoid as it is no longer supported.

Q3 Is there a stack that would allow multiple images (approx 20) to be loaded at one time ideally with the ability to use the file name as a caption image tag

Hi @rapidbernardos58,

  1. No, you can probably stick with Stacks 4.

  2. There’s Cycledex for an image slider, and Iconic Gallery for a gallery.

  3. I think Iconic Gallery would do what you need. You’d need to double-check before purchasing.

Those add-ons would set you back almost $100, so it might be worth considering moving to Elements at some point in the future… Elements has the features you needed built-in and is in active development — Let me know if you have any questions about this :blush:
