Rapidweaver becoming unusable

Beyond contestation

@manofdogz Would be interesting to know the size of the project, and the hardware you’re running it on when you see the page flipping issue. I wonder if it happens more on slower hardware as RW gets stuck in a loop.

Project Size: New site - 6 pages, 5 with no content - only Nav bar and site styles. Home page has one para and one image

Hardware: Mid 2015 MBP, i7 2.8GHZ, 16 GB Ram

Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2048 MB / Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

OS: 10.13.6

Can we get a download link to this project file so that we can give it a try on our end?

If you have time tomorrow, maybe you can join my weekly RW Hangout and we can have a look at it together. Its at 1pm PST

Sure - I’ll send it. Cannot replicate this issue however. Sadly 1pm PST is prime drinking time in GMT - particularly on a Friday - and I shall be in the pub!

Drinking is allowed (and preferred for some (most?) ) in the Hangout.

:beers:

Not sure if this is related to my RW preview woes…

I have a site under development and ā€œpage 5ā€ (which is as it should be in Preview) links to Page 4 on the published site. The proper page 5 doesn’t appear anywhere in the published site as if it didn’t exist.

Originally, page 5 was a duplicate of page 4, had the content stripped out and replaced. It’s almost like the changes to the duplicate page 4 hasn’t completed in some way even though they are complete in preview.

Never experience this before - any clues?

I have cleared the entire project from the server, marked all pages as changed and published again from scratch - problem still persists.

never had this happen in RW before - any clues?

I had this same problem loads of times , bit the bullet and upgraded to mojave and still used the first v 8 . It’s not happened since. Just started upgrading sites to 8.1.6 and no problems inc preview which was 'challenging ’ in Elcap

I intend to upgrade but currently need to use Filemaker 14 which is a sick dog on Mojave! I’m not paying Filemaker’s huge costs so moving all our databases to AirTable - sadly not ready yet tho.

Yea I was stuck in the Illustrator 5 position, going to Mojave meant monthly Adobe shackles for ever but what a difference in RW - with 8.1.6 its been great.
Preview on 10.11 was a nightmare for me, I could go make a cup tea waiting.
I know there’s been a lot of issues and I wish it had been released post more testing but Illustrator CC is a lot better as well. Well worth the fee really. But I will look at Affinity Designer as an alternative at some point.
