When I try to publish, I get this or similar errors: "Couldn’t upload DecodingExceptionInterface.php to your SFTP server! Unable to upload file, unstable connection or the server may be out of disk space.”
My service provider has checked, and I have lots of disk space left, and he even upped it. He suggested trying uploading with cPanel. Does anybody else have this problem publishing with Classic? (I have only added some new forms with ChilliDog’s FormsPlus; Greg says it’s likely the server, but just wondering if it’s RapidWeaver before I fiddle with cPanel).
Try setting your connections in RapidWeaver to the slowest possible and retry. RapidWeaver by default opens multiple connections to your server at the same time while publishing, and that sometimes causes problems with certain server conficurations. When you set the connection speed to slowest, RapidWeaver will only open one connection at a time.
If that doesn’t help, try selecting a different upload method. Instead of SFTP, try FTPS for example.
Thank you so much! I was hoping someone would reply with a suggestion as my skills are pretty basic. I chose the slowest method, and it uploaded without a problem!
I was advised to downgrade to 9.5 as I had the same issue with the same error, with 9.6.2. had to upload via FileZilla that went without any issue. I do see lately a lot of updates on Elements, as it turns out I am not the only one with this problem, it would be appreciated to get this issue sorted out with hopefully a soon update in Classic as we still have paid for it! When can we expect this @dan ?
I get the same error message (instable connection or disk limit) on both RW 8.9.4 and on RW Classic. I‘m on HOSTPOINT servers in Switzerland. Uploading by FTP program works fine.
So I‘m just searching for a workaround or a solution. Reducing upload speed and changing protocols (FTP, FTPS) did not resolve the issue.
Thanks for the fast reply. Yes, I‘ve also tried with newest RWC. The difference is that RWC tries to restart the upload several times but then gets stuck anyway (ca. 5th try).
I get the ping error 410 then 404 before stopping.
With RW I can transfer some (of the 1200) files with FTPS protocol but with RWC it fails (same credentials) from the start. Both apps can do the TEST credentials procedure and browsing is successful with FTP/FTPS.
I have a fast Internet connection (7.5gbps) but even with speed option „1“ it‘s not uploading the files.
What scenario do you propose to get the most out of the logging data?
If you’d like to try and troubleshoot this in real-time feel free to reach out to me at support@realmacsoftware.com and we can get something scheduled. I usually need to have a look in your web hosting control panel which requires a live one-on-one session.
