I am getting a bit tired of this. I had created a page which was not in the navigation for testing purposes. Classic wanted to upload over 500 files.
I chose to mark all files, including resources, as un-changed. Classic just ignores it.
This would not bother me but the FTP in RW is flakey to say the least. It constantly times out and drops the connection, even when only allowing a single stream to transfer.
I realise this is a known and common issue with RW but ignoring the unchanged status is annoying to the extreme.
The only way I can get around this is to publish locally and then use FileZilla to upload the changes. FileZilla never times out but this is annoying because just a minute change and RW remembers that it had not uploaded all those hundreds of files (at one stage it was 1,600) that it does not need to upload.
My internet connection is good and I have over 40 Mb upload speed.
Some may say it is the hosting company but that is not true as FTP via FileZilla works whilst RW does not work reliably.
It wouldn’t be so bad if RW respected the unchanged flag but it doesn’t.
