Hey Weavers,
We’re pleased to announce Elements 2.3.0 is now available ![]()
Elements 2.3 can now open projects that have missing components and prompt the user to install them. It sounds small, but it’s a big deal and it’s one of the main reasons we built the Store into Elements in the first place.
Watch the video below to see how this amazing new feature works ![]()
What’s New in 2.3.0?
- Improved handling of missing components with placeholders in the editor and main app UI.
- Streamlined pack installation with dynamic dropzones, visible progress, and clearer error messages.
- The requirements panel now shows progress immediately when a document loads.
- Fixed inline SVG parsing by stripping XML prologs that could trigger PHP short_open_tag errors.
- Documents now restore more reliably using a stable UI state and fall back to a sensible default window size when needed.
- Removed the Elements document Quick Look integration.
- Added a last.fm SVG icon to the core pack.
