Blogging platforms like WordPress have the possibility to let blog readers (called users??) write comments to posts. Comments are saved for monitoring and are published only after approval by the author (me, in this case). Is it possible to organize this in Elements?
Do I need a CMS license for this? Up until now the Elements base license serves all my needs. As basic user with only a personal website with a blog page online I am not looking forward to paying another $ 199 every year. But I do miss the possibility to create a commenting section. Thanks for your help.

The simplest approach would be to use one of the existing commenting functions out there, such as Discus. That basically boils down to copying their HTML into a Custom Component, but you lose control, ads will be served, people will be tracked, etc.
I believe if you search this site you’ll find one user built a comment section to his daily religious postings. If I’m not mistaken, that was done via some Vibe Coding using Claude. That approach ends up entirely under your control, so it has some issues with large scale (many posters).
So the answer to your question is yes, this is something you could add to your site. Just realize that you have to deal with spamming, rude/crude/irrelevant/bullying comments via monitoring and management.
My advice would be to get your blog fully functional before attempting to add comments.
I should also point out that you could simply put an email form at the bottom of your blog pages and invite people to send comments via email. You then add them to the post manually if they’re relevant. Just make sure you use at least the Honey Pot option to keep out spammers.
Hi guys. Thanks for your comments. I took some time answering because I’m not a daily user of the Forum (and neither posting daily too). I’ll think about allowing comments again, and if so, which solution suits me best.
