Do anyone know where I could go to purchase replacement software for the antiquated RapidBot (Version 5.3.2), PlusKit (Version 4.2.1), and SiteMap (Version 3.2.3) which are apparently no longer accepted by the current Version 9 of Rapidweaver Classic? If so, a link to the website where someone sells these modern applications would be great! Thank you~
Welcome
see your a fist time visitor…
What functions do you need?
Have you explored Claude coding?
or do you want a pre made option?
Best

Hi Mike,
Thank you for your kind reply e-mail. When I open my Rapidweaver program, I see the following error message to “Update my Plugins” for which there is apparently no solution - as I have the most current versions?
(See Attachment)
I’m hopeful for a “standard app” which can be updated periodically, like any other Plugin. Does that make sense? If you have any direct link for such software, please let me know! Thanks~
I am prevented from posting a screenshot?
It says, “An error occurred: Sorry, you can’t embed media items in a post.”
Hi @APSATrust
New users cannot post screenshots, you have to post a bit more and navigate the forum a bit and then it will auto-update your trust level so you can post screenshots. ![]()
If you are trying to post a screenshot of the error, no need, it’s a known issue among a lot of people here.
Those plugins that you are using are very old, and they don’t work on the newer macOS versions by default. You might be able to enable Rosetta to load them. We have a guide here on how to do that:
You can give that a try and see if RapidWeaver Classic can then read those old plugins.
The above would be a temporary solution though. Starting with macOS 28 (coming next year), Apple is dropping Rosetta support, so you’d indeed need to find alternatives to those old plugins if you wanted to continue using them. Best to get ahead of it if you can. ![]()
Hi Dan,
Again, thank you for your kind reply e-mails. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
I am running a Mac M3 Max on Golden Gate 27.0.1. When I open the “Get Info” on the Rapidweaver file folder the (old) option to “Open Using Rosetta” is no longer available. I would send you a screenshot to demonstrate that, but I cannot for an unknown period of time in this forum.
So, I’m still not sure what to do? Sorry~
My (original) question was, basically, “Do you have any alternatives to those old plugins?”
I’m sorry I can’t be more helpful…
switched to elements year(s) ago
my point though… Claude can create software
perhaps Claude could create what you need…
Hi Michael,
No worries… Would you mind sharing the domain name for this “Claude” please?
Claude AI is an AI engine that can make software with a prompt:
“make me xyz plugin using Realmac software classic 10 and use the latest api and beta releases
I need the plugin to do xyz for website creation”
May I ask, “What are we looking at to resolve this error message please?”
Grrr… (I still cannot post screenshots)
Replacement code(?) for the antiquated RapidBot (Version 5.3.2), PlusKit (Version 4.2.1), and SiteMap (Version 3.2.3) for the Rapidweaver Classic Version 9.
I did have PlusKit and SiteMap for Rapidweaver but stopped using them about 6 years ago. When the M1 Macs arrived you had to use Rosetta to run them and they were never updated.
I know your question is about replacement software I just created my own sitemap online (type “create a sitemap” into google). With PlusKit I think I was using it to search my site and there were plenty of better alternatives. An alternative to PlusKit really depends on what you were using it for as it does several things.
I would consider moving away from Rapidweaver to Elements if you have the time to do that. You’ll be future proofing yourself and won’t have to deal with the stress of things breaking or being unsupported.
You should now be able to post screenshots, sorry for the delay on this!
If those stacks/Rapidweaver are failing because Rosetta is not installed follow these steps:
-
Open Terminal from the Applications > Utilities folder.
-
Enter the following command and press Return:
softwareupdate --install-rosetta --agree-to-license
-
If prompted, enter your Mac administrator password.
-
Wait for the installation to complete.
In step two, the spaces and double and single hyphens are important to keep intact.
Hi @APSATrust
The Get Info window would be opened on your RapidWeaver Classic app, not your project file.
Highlight your RapidWeaver Classic app in your Applications folder, then right-click and Get Info. You should see the Rosetta option then. Let us know if you don’t.
Sorry! Got it. Thank you~
So, once Mac OS 28 comes out… I’m going to have to convert to Elements, or seek custom programming assistance with Rapidweaver Classic. Is that basically correct?
Or don’t update your machine!!!
it is a legitimate idea… many lock down their machine on the last supported software
it will keep on working!!!
I personally - am an upgrade nut - I haven’t done it - was getting close to doing it but then switched from Intel to Apple processors….
