Maybe a dumb and in the end obvious question: How to put down my WP-site and replace it with my new Elements site? My site sits on one.com. Grateful for any help I can get.

Why are you changing ?
It’s a polished sit in WP - replicating it will take quite some energy … just asking if it’s worth it given that the site looks good

I don’t think that’s his website, it is where his website is hosted.
A link to your website (not your web host) would probably help people see how easy or involved it would be to port your website over from WP to Elements. ![]()
Thanks for response!
I don´t want to replicate it..just replace it with a different static Elementssite.
I’m just unsure if I go in with Transit and simply delete the page..or if I also have to delete the database via the control panel of my site provider? Over the years I have replaced my old static html pages without any problems..but what about my current WP page? Maybe this is more of a question for my site provider?
Anyway..thanks for response

If you are just replacing it, personally, I would go in with an FTP program and delete everything there. Then use your control panel and delete the databases, so that everything from original site is cleared out. Then upload new Elements created site.
Thanksalot Steve for taking the time to help me.
I was unsure how to handle the database from the WP side.
Thank you also to everyone else who helped me regarding this matter.![]()
I’m no expert, but I’d say there are three steps here.
First you need to put something together in Elements that you’re going to replace it with. Perhaps it’s just a landing page with your contact details.
Then I’d say step two is deleting everything that’s currently on your server space. People here will likely help with that - it’s not so difficult.
Step three is to upload what you have made in Elements up to your server space. Again it’s not so difficult and I’m sure you’ll get help here.

Assuming you are using cPanel in your server, you will have a specific WP app that will allow you to delete your WP install (files, database, everything). Just deleting the files from the server will not delete the database files.
Create your Elements site first, make sure you are happy with the setup in preview mode, then when you are ready delete you WP site as above and the use the publishing tool in Elements to upload your new site.
Not helpful, but this thread just reminded me of one of the clips we didn’t use in the Elements ad we did a while back ![]()
