Hi all. I’m looking for a stack that allows content (not backgrounds) to be rotated by a few degrees in either direction for a quirky new site that wants content to be off-centre and at random angles.
This can be done with Joe Workman’s Target stack but this is quite a big and comprehensive stack to be adding 20 times per page. Something smaller and lightweight would be better.
Content will be text and images, sometimes combined. sometimes bordered, sometimes not.
Hi manofdogz, are you using FOUNDRY3 ? - than it’s quite easy. Use the stack ALCHEMY. Its weight is 140kb and it can be rotated by hover or stable and more…
Best Roger
I found the solution… as often - very very easy;-)
Just use the basic IMAGE stack, which comes with STACKS. Drag a photo inside and in the inspector you’ll find the Rotation !
Yes - that’s in the Image Content settings of all image stacks I should imagine. However I need the same for text as well as images. Also sometimes a container containing both text and image. So really need a stack to rotate any content.
oh yes- sorry, I missed the part about the text… have you investigated the wonderful stacks from BWD - the SectionPRO series in particular will give you what you want. It’s only a donation away;-)
I have but I can’t see they do what I want. You can make angled sections (i.e. backgrounds) and you cn animate a rotation if I recall but not seen any way to actually rotate content. Unless I’m mistaken of course?
…Hi LJ, I think, this is not a Q about a FrameWork - of course, it would be easy with ALCHEMY from F3 which I work with, I also think that Joe in F6 and Stuart in Source have comparable solutions - but I think - you don’t need a framework for that. Ask Michelangelo - he has a wide range of very functional extensions in his program with his multithemes.com. And he also seems to be open for small updates - and your request does not seem to be a witchcraft to me;-)
I can’t see these solutions in Source or Foundation, but maybe a stack request is worthwhile yes. Perhaps Joe would consider using the ‘rotate’ function already in Target stack as a small standalone stack. I’ll ask. Are you sure Alchemy does this? It looks to be more of an animation stack which is not what I’m after.
