It worked, but I have to wonder why it had to upload all my files first. I will test another of my sites. Just looked. RW thinks all of my files in all of my projects need to be reloaded, and then things seem to work fine after that.
Agreed. But if there were a Donald Trump virus in that hospital, that had the potential to escape into the populace, I would have concerns for the rest of humanity.
But back to Ver 7: I am sure many users are just fine, but these posts reflect- as is always the case, no matter what the product- that developers have a bit more tweaking to do; and because I am a newbie to RW my bug coping abilities are limited. So, I will wait this out.
Good point, though
Issues like this are why I personally never upgrade most software until a .1 or .2 release… Apple of course is another story, never upgrade before a .3 or .4 release hahahahahaha
Hahahahahahaha, that can be so very true…
I have to say I am really impressed with RW7. I was frankly quite worried after my experience of RW6. However 7 seems v solid and I like it a lot. I also had to republish all files on 7.0.2 upgrade but actually it only did it once on first time project was loaded in new update.
I think the guys at Realmac deserve a pat on the back for the upgrade. We have some quite complicated projects and everything seems to be working well.
I will admit to not having read every response in this thread. I apologize if I am repeating an post.
However, I would like point out that if you are using Stacks then there is a chance that your increase in files has nothing to do with RW7 and everything to do with one or more stacks on your page.
If the Stack developer has the code being added to the page for every instance of the stack then the number of files on a page can go up tremendously.
Publish a project file with just a blank page and see how many files it is. Then, start adding stacks that you use and see what happens.
Cheers
