Hi all,
RW 9.1.1 (21049) (yes I know, it is not the latest version) on Sequoia 15.0.1 , MacBook Air M1, keeps crashing while trying to open certain projects . With some projects it’s working okay, others can’t be opened so I can’t find the reason.
This started today after updating to Stacks 5.3 something.
Went back to Stacks 5.1.2 - still crashing. Project is 33,4 MB, other bigger projects are opening, so size seems not to be the problem. Also the framework (Source) is not the problem as other Source-projects do open.
Any ideas what to repair/do?
Thanks in advance
Tom
same here …
since the last updates Rapidweaver crashes more often.
I have regular crashes, probably due to the size of my projects, but more frequently in the last few days
Hi @capetom,
Some people were reporting crashing when updating to Sequoia 15. We released RW Classic 9.3 (which brought official support for Sequoia), 9.3.1, and finally 9.3.2 in quick succession to address some of those reports, as announced here RapidWeaver Classic 9.3.2 is now available
Try restarting your Mac as a first step. If it’s a Stacks issue after the most recent Stacks update, if you are still seeing a crash on a specific project, send over the crash report to us when the app prompts you so we can take a look.
@Pegasus Did you update to the latest Stacks version as well? Can you send in those crash reports too?
URGENT !!!
Hi @dang
now I tried several projects to open with RW 9.1.1 and one – which is crashing RW – is missing resources. While trying to delete these RW is crashing. When restarting RW or opening another project RW is opening automatically the corrupt project – so I can’t open any project now.
Bought a new license for 9.3.2 and you know what? Same thing - before I am able to put in my new registration RW 9.3.2 is crashing
GREAT - I have clients with websites paying money - and I can’t open any project in the moment.
Could I somehow delete the preferences of RW so it is not opening the last file/project?
I know you are all busy with Elements in the moment but RW 9.3.2 should be a working and reliable software !
I can send you the project file in question or upload it somewhere.
Thanks in advance
Tom
P.S. I know how to open the info.plist of RW 9.3.2 if there is the info for the last file opened …
I think this is a macOS setting, not a RW setting. Try enabling this setting in your macOS settings:
Then try opening RW from your Applications folder. It shouldn’t try to restore your last project file then.
You can send the project file over to us at our support email, we have a guide here on how to share your project file and addons folder with us Share Your Project File | Classic Manual. But, I don’t have your assets/resources so I might not be able to replicate the crash if it’s due to some missing resources. Did you select the setting in RapidWeaver to copy all resources into the project file, or do you have it set to keep the resources on your local computer?
