RW7 old themes and addons

Hi @nealt,

We already know what the issue is here and will get a fix out ASAP. If you don’t want to wait for the fix, you can follow these steps to do the transfer process manually: http://forums.realmacsoftware.com/t/rw7-old-themes-and-addons/7043/17?u=elliotekj

7.0.1 — The importation worked. Thanks a lot.

Excellent, thanks for the confirmation @frOM!

I also want to reconfirm that it worked. Thanks a lot for sorting this out so fast!

Does this workaround also go for themes? I can’t seem to see any of my old themes that I used to use in R6 in R7?

I opened R6 but don’t see a ‘reveal addons’ option, only a ‘manage addons’ option.

same problem here, CRE4MY theme did not open and RW7 defaulted to Alpha on 7.0.01

i ended up reinstalling my theme manually and then it was ok

Hey,

This was fixed in the 7.0.1 release (you can double check you’re running the latest version by going to “RapidWeaver 7” then “Check for Updates…”). If you open RW7, click RapidWeaver 7 in the menu bar and then “Copy Addons from RapidWeaver 6” everything should now get transferred. If somehow that doesn’t work for you, the steps listed above should sort out the issue.

Cheers,

P.S.

@Gabrielle: I suspect you only saw “Manage Addons” because you weren’t holding down the option key on your keyboard.

thanks for the quick reply, reinstalling cre4my seems to have solved it.

@ElliotEKJ thanks for that, sorry I missed the bit where it said we had to hold down option, doh!
I’m a bit confused. I’m already running 7.0.1. If I go to reveal R7 addons folder I see a column with 2 Rapidweavers in it, one is just Rapidweaver and one is Rapidweaver 7 but it’s the one above Rapidweaver 7 that’s highlighted. Is that correct?

I just wanted to check to see if my themes ARE already in there and I’m just not looking in the right spot in the software itself to find the theme, before I start copying and pasting.

The path is gaby/library/containers/com.realmacsoftware.rapidweaver/Data/Library/application support/rapidweaver (NOT rapidweaver 7 which is what I would expect it to be).

Many thanks for the help.
