I am trying to edit a page and then publish the updated page to my website with Rapidweaver Classic 9.2.1 and I keep getting the following error: “Couldn’t upload RWBadge.png to your FTP-TLS server! Unable to upload file, the server may be out of disk space.” However I know the server is not out of disk space. What’s going on?
Hi @crutcher,
FTPS does not work so well in RapidWeaver. We recommend using SFTP if your web hosting provider offers it. You can contact them and ask, sometimes they have to enable it for your hosting account.
It’s working now with some pages. However, an even weirder error is now occurring. I can’t seem to upload a Styled Text page longer than about 20 or 25 lines of text. Over and over I find that when I have more text on the page, the page fails to upload. If I then remove the added text, the page uploads fine. Would this still be due to problems with FTPS? Actually, I tried using SFTP – even more uploading errors unfortunately.
Since SFTP produced even more problems, I tried using just FTP, which did work just fine. However, I don’t really want to use FTP, no security.
It’d probably help if I could see this in real-time. SFTP is usually very stable. I haven’t seen many people having trouble with it. Care to schedule a one-on-one so I can take a closer look at it?
