It’s always sad to see other developers leave the community. The positive thing is that you can see which of those who haven’t left are true professionals. Support is extended to all users, as far as possible. This is what tells you how well your money is spent.
True user support goes beyond business.
shakingthehabitual has done an excellent job and has made a huge contribution to the growth of the RWclassic ecosystem.
Exactly.
Kudos to Stuart for leaving the way he does! Of course it’s sad to see him go, but if you really need to leave, this is possibly the best and most consumer friendly way to go about it.
This is so much better than the “scorched earth” approach. I’m still angry with Elixir Graphics/Adam for what he did to his loyal, paying customers. Most of us have spent hundreds of dollars for his products and rely on them for an income. I get that you’re angry with the “proprietor“ of the ecosystem and whoever else, but why would you dupe your customers?
Cheers,
Erwin
The more you show attention to existing customers, the more they will support you in your future choices. You just have to give people time to understand that things have changed, without pushing.
stacks4stacks He’s also a true gentleman.
This should remain from the old developer community, because it helped grow the roots of RapidWeaver today.
It’s very hard to end a business. No real ‘good’ way to do it. IMHO
Very difficult to meet everyone’s expectations.
We’ve had some brick and mortar businesses go out in Peoria - they give no notice, no indication, and are just closed the next day…
I imagine they would loose sales if they say they are closing in xyz days…
Hopefully the person (people) for Shaking the Habitual will be ok and perhaps even come to elements ![]()
Best Wishes to all…
