I have Elements b21 (23053) and if checking for update i get “update error” mesage, while today Dan made an announcement about a new update, so I would like to know what’s going on; since I am having cataract surgery I am a bit restricted on what i can do, but i am still trying things out as much as I can until better days
Oh that’s strange, don’t worry though. You can simple redownload Elements to get the latest version.
Find the email receipt in your email achieve and click the download link, this will always give you the latest version.

Thanks Dan, I did as you said and have Beta b23 (23110) but I gget the same update message: Elements can’t be updated if it’s running from the location it was downloaded to" I hope it make sense to you

What version of Mac OS are you running?? What machine are you running it on?? From what location are you running Elements from??
On newer versions of MacOS, the system has a hissyfit if you try to run certain apps from a location OTHER than the Applications folder. That also could be the source of your issue with updates.
Yep! silly me! I am running it on a mac mini M2 with Sequoia 16.2, but I transferred the zip form another computer, and left the app on the desktop ; once in the applidcation folder where it should be, it’s all ok
