Source code issue

Does Elements sometimes cache the old HTTP version even after changing the site address? Or, is there an alternative explanation?

In Elements Project Settings, I have the following (note: https):

In Elements “Preview in Browser” source code shows (note: https):

When I delete and then republish all web files and view source code on the internet, it shows (note: http):

Note that the link did not change to https://

This does cause me issues with indexing in Google Search console.

Any suggestions to get the correct source code on the internet?

Ensure it is also set to https in the publishing settings:
