Stacks 5 + Tahoe?

Have any RW Classic users running Stacks 5 upgraded to Tahoe?

If so, have you had issues with Stacks, or does RW + Stacks work fine on Tahoe?

Thank you all!

The latest versions of RapidWeaver Classic and RapidWeaver Elements are both running smoothly on macOS 26 (Tahoe). No issues reported on our end.

However, Stacks 5 does appear to be encountering some problems under Tahoe.

We’ve seen a noticeable increase in crash reports specifically related to Stacks. Here’s a screenshot from our crash reporter showing multiple incidents logged within just a few hours, the majority occurring on macOS 26.

We’ve already forwarded the relevant crash data to YourHead, and I’m pleased to say @Isaiah has confirmed they’re actively investigating:

“trying to see if i can fix this new crash in Tahoe.”

I’ve also asked if there’s an ETA for a fix, but haven’t heard back just yet.

I’ll update this thread as soon as we know more.

According to isaiah in his Stacks Discord channel, he has spent several evenings reviewing the crash reports that Dan sent him and was able to identify some of the causes of the crashes.

He is now close to releasing a BETA version to address the Tahoe-OS crash. For this, he is still looking for beta testers. So if you are seriously interested, you should reach out to isaiah. Since isaiah is most active in the Stacks Discord channel, that’s the best place to get in touch with him.

Thank you!

The new, Tahoe-compatible version of the Stacks plugin should already appear as an update for you. Did you already try if there’s an update available?

You can download the latest Stacks plugin beta here:

It appears to have fixed some of the Stacks crashes under Tahoe, but not all of them. Make sure you submit crash reports when prompted, so we can ensure they get back to @Isaiah.

Stacks 5.3.2 has been released but no mention on Yourhead website or anywhere else that I can find. Anyone know if this fixes Tahoe issues?

Release version 5.3.2

  • Much more stable.,
  • Work well on Tahoe, even with large projects.,
  • A lot less noisy in the macOS console.,
  • See the release notes for more details ( Stacks Release Notes ),

You should see this version when you relaunch RW, but you can download directly here:
