Stacks will not properly open my existing site

I even bought Stacks update, but RW 9.2 does not show existing site at Home

Can you post some screenshots showing any errors you are seeing when trying to open your project file? Please point out what is not working properly in your reply so we can help further.

I have bought upgrade to RW 9.2.1 + Stacks.
First photo shows actual on-line home page for our website;
2nd shows how RW now presents it.


Looks like two things:

  1. You haven’t registered your copy of Stacks yet. Click on that blue banner in the right hand upper corner that says “Click Here, Buy Stacks” and you should be able to enter your license code for Stacks in order to activate the plugin.

  2. It looks like you have a bunch of missing stacks. Did you move from an old Mac to a new Mac and forget to move all your addons over?

BTW this is not a RapidWeaver issue, this is a Stacks issue. Adjusting your post title accordingly.

You are the company that sells stacks, and your RW app told me that I needed stacks.
Anyhow, the serial # did nothing.

I had to remove your screenshot because it included your license key for Stacks. That shouldn’t be made public.

We don’t sell Stacks, that is sold by Yourhead Software which is a third-party developer. They are listed on our Marketplace along with a lot of other third-party developers’ products. Unfortunately we can’t help with licensing issues for third-party products as we do not have any kind of access to their licensing system.

If your Stacks license key is not working, you will need to reach out to YourHead software directly. We have their contact information listed here I need help with Stacks, what should I do?

If you don’t hear back from them in a timely manner please let us know and we will try to help escalate your case with them.

One thing to try though, make sure you are downloading the correct version of Stacks that your license key is valid for. It looks like you are trying to enter you license key in Stacks version 5. Perhaps your license key is for an earlier version, like version 4 or version 3. You can download earlier versions of Stacks from their archive page here Stacks. Give that a try and see if it helps.

I have been using RW for ten years and every upgrade worked seamlessly, until 9.2.

Why does my older RW 8.10 not work anymore? I was happy with that version.

RW 8.10 should still work just fine, you can download it from our release notes page here if you’d like.

The issue from your screenshot shows that your copy of Stacks is not registered, and you are missing a bunch of stacks. Upgrading from RW 8.10 to 9.2 would not have affected that so something else must have happened. Perhaps your addons folder is no longer pointing to the correct folder where all your addons are located. You can check this in RapidWeaver Settings >> Addons Tab >> Check the drop-down menu towards the bottom to see what is listed for your Addons folder location.
