Just finished uploading new different site… did a redirect in December 2025
Does it have to be updated? Continually?

I believe redirects are temporary with Google search console, so as long as your sitemap lists the new page it should replace the old one once Google re-crawls and indexes.
I just changed and updated the legacy 301 re-directs…
They were going no where as 60 pages changed name and position
So - just to be safe - fixed them
Thank you Daz - didn’t think about the site map update…
It would have been conflicting information? Legacy to non existent address and new site map to new address?
