Where is the SVG used? Is it just for development or is it displayed somewhere in the website visitors?

I believe it is an icon intended to be displayed next to a menu item, but it currently only seems to work in a Top Pages component, not in the standard menu.
That’s correct, and we plan to add support for it into most of the navigational components we produce
