Tag Page Template - How To Use

I am populating my site with various CMS entries. Before I go much farther, I need help understanding how to use tags.

  1. Do tags have to be lowercase for Unix?
  2. Can I have a space in a tag name?

  4. Will “categories” be coming soon, or should I work exclusively in tags?
  5. Can I pass a tag to filter blog entries via a URL, or are @dan and @ben working on something better?

I have 17 years of CMS entries to make from RW. I need to figure out how to tag/divide them, or it will be hard to find resources.

your tag markdown filename should be lowercase.

You can have a space in the tag.name that you set in the tag markdown file’s frontmatter. Don’t use spaces in the tag file name.

We have considered adding categories, however, it is not something we are currently looking at adding. I wouldn’t say we’ll never add categories, however, it’s not something we currently have planned to add to the CMS.
