Tailwind have written on their blog about being acquired by Shopify Tailwind Labs is joining Shopify - Tailwind CSS
I read that they have joined Shopify, I dnt know whether they have been acquired?
This is one of those press announcements that creates more questions than answers, that’s for sure.
My hope is that this will allow Tailwind to be supported and improved for the long term. It’s still the most popular CSS framework on the planet, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon 
It’s also worth remembering (if you were worried) that Elements isn’t tied to Tailwind, so if something bigger and better comes along we can add support for that too.
So in short, it’s business as usual.
